In half-way between abstraction and figuration, she is always close to the narration but never succumbs in it.  Isabelle Venet builds her paintings as a French garden according to an exact and harmonic geometry.

Because she used to work tissues creating “boubou”, her sandy tones, lateritic, her moresques blues are an evocation of the African land that she has a great affection for.
